Our Mission
Quantum computing is becoming a reality. Superconducting circuits, ion traps, neutral atoms, … the hardware is getting there. What is still missing is software capable of handling industry-scale workloads. MQSC builds the foundational software infrastructure and delivers for quantum computing what we already take for granted in classical IT.
An Open Quantum Computing Ecosystem
Our Goal
MQSC builds on the expertise of the Chair for Design Automation at the Technical University of Munich, leveraging 15+ years of experience in developing world-class quantum computing software (such as MQT), designing interfaces to quantum hardware (such as QDMI), and integrating both into full-stack quantum frameworks (such as MQSS), and more.
Our mission is to provide system-critical software infrastructure.
Production-grade: Fully-fledged implementations, not prototypes or proofs-of-concept.
Industrial-strength foundation: Engineered on robust, scalable software infrastructure.
Open and community-driven: Built in the open, together with the community—fully vendor-neutral and free of lock-in.
Problem-driven: Designed for real-world workloads.
From the people behind
Our Work
Software Stacks
A software stack integrates quantum computers into real environments. We are contributing to the development of comprehensive software stacks such as the Munich Quantum Software Stack within the Munich Quantum Valley initiative.
Compilation
Mapping quantum algorithms and circuits to specific platforms involves solving complex design and optimization problems. We develop and implement advanced solutions to translate high-level programs into executable instructions.
HW/SW Interfaces
Effective quantum computing relies on seamless hardware/software integration. Our interface solutions reconcile conflicting requirements and bridge heterogeneous technologies, turning bespoke engineering efforts into standardized deployments.
Application Demos
Conceptualizing and validating practical use cases is key for advancing the real-world impact of quantum computing. We support this through application design, demonstrators, circuit generation, and targeted benchmarking.
Our Highlights
We have more than 15 years of experience in quantum software.
Our tools and services rest on more than 100 scientific papers.
We won more than 20 prestigious awards.
Our technology is already used in production by leading players such as IQM and HPC centers such as LRZ.
Trusted by the community with 3.7M+ PyPI downloads, 1300+ GitHub stars, and over 10,000 citations.
We organize the quantum computing software event.
